Even though we tend to focus mainly on the world’s biggest currencies for the head to head reports in this part of the website, we don’t always look at all the possibilities. Sometimes certain currency pairings can escape our attention for a while, and with this in mind let’s take a look and see what happened between the Swiss franc and the Canadian dollar as August gave way to September.
That was the question we started off the month of August with. The closing rate for the US dollar versus its Hong Kong equivalent was 7.7663, so we were hoping to see a better rate than this on the currency converter by the end of the month. Would we get it though?
That was the question on our minds as the dollar finished August on 1.0393 against the Swiss currency. First blood certainly went to the dollar as the rate on the currency converter on the 2nd August turned out to be 1.0449. But where would things go from there?

The US dollar is seen as the mightiest currency in the world. Many people look to it as a measure of what is going on financially, so it can be interesting to see how it fares against the Euro. At the close of trading in June, the Swiss franc was claiming a rate of 6.2647 against the Chinese yuan. On the first day back to trading after the weekend the franc managed an appreciable jump up to 6.3519, giving it the first good result on the currency converter. But could it keep this up?
